The BSN/Bassets Colts (U18) Rugby team won the National Plate final in the Amsterdam Rugby stadium this past Saturday. In front of a large crowd of supporters, on the National rugby ground the BSN/Bassets boys fought a very tight hard game against ‘t Gooi Rugby Club.

In the tradition of finals the game was close with the lead changing throughout the 70 minutes, however our boys, through a amazingly strong and determined defense coupled with moments of brilliance in attack won the day with the final score being 12-8.

The BSN/Bassets cluster at the Colts level has been a truly rewarding partnership over the past two seasons. The squad of 26 boys has bonded into a solid international team with local boys from Sassenheim, Leiden and Voorschoten coming together with the players from the BSN, ISH, ASH and French schools to form a close knit, inclusive and wonderfully supportive team. My compliments and thanks to all the coaches, managers and parents from both clubs for an amazing season, and of course, my congratulations to every single one of our hard working players.
