BSN Turvens fielded two teams for the first time this season as they hosted quality opposition from HRC and Delft.  BSN put in a huge amount of work, with no subs available, and everyone who watched will agree they left nothing in the locker in terms of effort and determination……

With high class rugby on display all round, it was a very creditable result for BSN with overall 3 wins and 3 losses.  BSN made it 2 wins and 1 loss against HRC, and 1 win and 2 losses against Delft.

Delft A bt BSN Orange 4 – 3

This was a really, really tight match that could have gone either way.  Great tagging from both teams and trys scored for BSN by Henry, Matthew and Axel.

BSN Orange bt HRC A 5 – 2

BSN were fully warmed up and ready to use all the pitch with quick hands and speed on the wing.  There was great execution – straight off the training field – with BSN picking up any and every loose ball with speed and gritty determination.  Henry picked up 2 trys, Matthew, Axel and Bob also crossed the line finishing off nice moves started by Joseph and Marcos.

BSN Orange bt Delft B 5 – 3

After a gulp of water and the promise of Haribo at the end, BSN got straight back to work with flowing rugby from the whole team, which led to Rijk picking up his second try of the season and a brace from each of Axel and Matthew.  The dodgy BSN thuis fluiter cruelly disallowed trys for Marcos and Bob, who both showed flashes of silver speed and skill with the ball.

BSN Blue bt HRC B 1 – 0

A strong defensive performance led by Luke and Kavin provided a solid foundation for BSN blues to get the decisive try, with Max finishing off the move to clinch the opening game.

Delft A bt BSN Blue 6 – 0

After a few close opening exchanges followed by a collision injury to Mats, the 6 remaining BSN players found it a tough ask against a quality Delft side.

HRC A bt BSN Blue 4 – 2

Special mention to Mats who bravely returned to the field as BSN played the last match of the day.  Trys for BSN were scored by Trym, who was on the score board for the first time this season, and also by Max.  Our new players Noah and Sheperd showed real improvement over the few short weeks they have been playing.

Overall a great morning of rugby with BSN steadily improving in skill and execution in the early weeks of the season. Well done lads!
