BSN Cubs travelled to Amersfort for the national sevens qualifiers, where they played games against RC Eemland, Castricum, HRC and the Harlemmermeer Hawks. The top two would qualify for the finals. BSN narrowly lost the first game against the home team, but went on to comfortably win the next three. Nearly every player in the squad scored and the team gained good sevens experience, as they booked their place in the finals.

The first match was the closest. BSN looked the stronger and were in front for most of the match, leading 14-5 at half time, but they conceded twice in the second half to lose 19-14 to the home side, RC Eemland.

The second game against Castricum’s B team was less competitive. Five different BSN players scored in the first half and another three different players scored in the second, as they ran in comfortable 62-0 winners.

Next up were HRC’s C team. Cammy was a dominant figure in the first half, when BSN scored four, and they added three more in the second half to win 49-0.

The final game was against Harlemmermeer Hawks RC; new opposition for BSN. Lachlan quickly stamped the cubs authority on the match with two quick tries. Daniel and William took the score to 24-0 at half time. BSN scored another four tries in the second half, as they closed the day with a 48-0 win.
