Our Minis continue to travel and to deliver solid youth rugby outside their district, winning the 1st place at the Pre Paastoernooi on March 23rd organized by Etten-Leur Rugby Club!

10 Minis teams made the day to Etten-Leur Rugby Club for this Pre Easter tournament. Teams were split in 2 qualifying groups to finally play their last game for the overall day ranking. Our Minis Warriors played consecutively Oysters RC, The Dukes, the local club Etten Leur RC and HRC-1 winning their 4 games and finishing 1st of the group A with 22 tries in total and 0 given away to the opposition. The team was very united in defence, solid in the scrum and managed to win many turnover balls keeping the possession of the ball and shifting the pressure on the opponents. Well done Warriors! We won now our ticket to play the final game for position 1 or 2 of the day. We will play Roosendaal RC, winner of the group B.

At this time of the day, our Warriors are on fire as they just learned that the Benjis Warriors won the 1st place so it is now their turn to shine. The weather conditions are not with us as wind gust and hail are joining the party but it does not change the spirit and the commitment to the game. It is a final, both teams are playing 100%, fighting the elements. Our Minis managed to score first and kept attacking during the entire first half. Roosendaal came stronger after the break, committed not to let go this last game. While Roosendaal multiple attacks were powerful, our Warriors demonstrated once again an exceptional performance in defence, winning this final 5-0.

Well done Minis, another great success before a well deserved Easter break. GO Warriors !

Finally, I want to thank Etten-Leur RC for a well organized day and a very friendly and warm Rugby atmosphere.
