This year, Wassenaar Warriors is hosting the very first Wassenaar School Rugby Tournament on Friday, April 17, 2026. The ultimate sports event for children aged 6 to 12!

Everyone will play tag rugby, a fast and safe form of rugby without physical contact. Whether a child has played rugby before or is trying it for the first time, everyone can join!

The kids also have the chance to show off their skills on the tackle (pads) course. And they might even take home the Tackle Award!

Key Information

  • For boys and girls aged 6-12.
  • There will be three age categories.
  • Teams of six children.
  • Mixed play: boys and girls play together and against each other.
  • Teams can consist of children from different classes.
  • Location: Wassenaar Warriors accommodation, Charlottestraat 7, Wassenaar.

What else to expect

  • Expert guidance during clinics and matches.
  • Completely contact-free play.
  • Parents, grandparents, and family are welcome to watch.
  • Water and lemonade provided for the children.
  • Participation is free!

You can also join regular trainings!

  • Free 3-week trial.
  • Children up to 8 years old: Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:30 pm.
  • Children 8–12 years old: Mondays and/or Thursdays, 6:00/6:15 – 7:30/7:45 pm.
