We are proud to announce that we have found a new home ground and location at SV Wassenaar multi-sports club. From 1 September our training, club activities and home matches will take place at our new accomodation in Wassenaar – a convenient central location for most of our members in Den Haag, Voorschoten and Wassenaar.

Departure from the British School

Our rugby club has a long history and strong link to the British School, with wonderful facilities; the club originated from an initiative of some of the BSN sports teachers and over the years, the club has developed from a small school rugby club to an independent youth rugby club with many nationalities and backgrounds in the region of Den Haag, covering ages from 5 to 18 years old. The club is an important bridge between the Dutch and expat community, and is a local flagship of international rugby culture and rugby values.

The ongoing Covid challenges have of course resulted in additional restrictions and uncertainty of availability of the sports grounds at the BSN school. But we also wish to grow and strengthen our club community with access to our own pitch, clubhouse and facilities.

The BSN Rugby Club welcomes international expats as well as Dutch players to our unique community, with a wealth of international rugby experience in youth coaching and team development.

SV Wassenaar

SV Wassenaar is a multi-sports association consisting of a football club, a baseball and softball club, and an International football club including about 400 members, lots of pitches and great facilities. The addition of the Rugby Club will make us the first official rugby club located in Wassenaar!

The rugby Club has been warmly welcomed by SV Wassenaar and we are excited to build and develop our club from our new home!

Good luck with the new venture. It’s been spoken about for many years and should give the club an enhanced identity.

Well done to you all for continuing the club through difficult times and good luck with the new partnership with SV Wassenaar. Hopefully see you in the clubhouse one day – travel permitting.
