Teamwork makes the dream work so goes the saying. On Saturday March 19, our Mini Warriors absolutely proved this to be the case. Round 1 of the National Minis Festival saw us visiting the home of Sparta where we played matches against a Sparta/Hookers/Hermes combined team as well as DIOK 1, HRC 3 and RRC 3. There was plenty of game time for even our newest players and we managed three solid performances including one against a very tough DIOK 1.

Our teamwork as well as the respect for our opponents, referees and teammates really shone through today, and every Mini should really give themselves a pat on the back. The skills the coaches have been working on consistently developing, and the discipline our team showed today in executing those skills, was truly outstanding.

Next week we are on to Round 2 where our players will get the opportunity to face an even greater challenge than today. Let’s show up, have fun, remember our values and be the best team we can be!
