The first matches of the Region Rugby Competition for this season will take place on Wednesday 9 November. Wassenaar Warriors is pleased to host the matches of the U16 teams from Region South-West, Region East and Region South on this day. A guaranteed spectacle of high-quality rugby from these U16 Region Rugby selections. Kick off of the first match will be at 4pm. This rugby day in Wassenaar will end at 20:00h.

Goal of the Region Rugby Competition

The aim of this competition is to shape the pathway for young players towards selection for our Dutch National teams. Selection into a region team and participation in this competition is a requirement to be considered for NL selection. The talented players of these teams come from different rugby clubs based in these regions.

Matches are played in 2x 40 minutes with a 5-minute rest break and unlimited rolling subs.
