Turvens: A Slow Start After the Break
On Saturday November 6th, 2021, Turvens went to Gouda. Our opponents were Diok, HRC, and RFC Gouda. Everybody came back from their holidays. We had 3 teams again. The results are: 6 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses.
Team I: 3:5, 2:6, 4:3; 25 tags were pulled.
Coach Bertrand: “Today the team 1 was a bit sleeping. Probably still feeling the time change effect. Our warriors understood that the victory is not coming on its own. After two defeats they finally won the last match as they show a better face with more aggressively (tagging) and focus (positioning). Hopefully they will keep this attitude next week for home matches.”
Team II: 11:3, 6:6, 9:2; 40 tags and 13 double tags were pulled.
Coach Anri: “Team 2 did great over the weekend. Everyone seems a lot more aware of space during attack and defense, and there was improvement in supporting the ball carrier…Lots of awesome tries and tags. They were a bit surprised in the second game when they had to play a team with players just as good as they were, but recovered quickly.”
Team III: 11:1, 5:2, 8:5; 50 tags and 4 double tags were pulled.
Coach Cedric: “Good Saturday for team 3. Three victories but a lot of work made. After an easy 1st game 11 to 1, things went a bit harder due to better opponents. Finally our Warriors managed to go through thanks to a great involvement of every players. Good support. Great actions and no offside. Coaches have lost their voice, but we finally won!”
This was the first game Saturday after the long break (for some players, it was a 2 weeks holiday). Our Warriors are slowly warming up. They definitely will shine next week during our home games!
