Tough test for Turvens in the Delft mist

By chrisbraggs | Feb 18, 2017

It was a tough physical test this morning with 4 short matches in a row in the Delft mist. Character building (or damp and cold) depending on your perspective!

Juniors miss out in the dying seconds

By neilwallace | Feb 7, 2017

Saturday 4th February saw the BSN Juniors travelling to HRC for another clash with the local rivals. As always with HRC part of the match day excitement is seeing which HRC team emerges on the day and initially the signs were not good as HRC thought the game was starting an hour later than scheduled.…

Brilliant Turvens win 5 out of 6 at home!

By chrisbraggs | Feb 4, 2017

What a brilliant morning of rugby, with fantastic individual skills and most importantly excellent teamwork!  It was much better having the full size pitches this time and there was lots of open flowing rugby played by all the teams. By my count BSN won 5 out of the 6 matches – fantastic result!

It’s going to be only BSN first. BSN first

By ianjewitt | Jan 28, 2017

We were so glad to be back at BSN. Very special and important games against HRC, Delft and the Bassets. These are teams that we like and respect very much. But, we played the best rugby. Nobody played better rugby than us, believe me; and we played it so simply. We played great rugby, in…

Juniors defeat Delft to christen new pitch

By neilwallace | Jan 22, 2017

Saturday 21st January, a gloriously sunny day, a brand new all weather pitch, a great turnout, friendly opposition, a good referee and a great team performance. What more could you ask for the beginning of the New Year? Turnout was good with 22 players available on the day. Delft supplied the referee and Delft and…

Ending on a High

By ianjewitt | Dec 18, 2016

The BSN Minis closed out the year with three fine wins at DIOK on Saturday.  With the floodlights on to fight the gloom, BSN played DIOK, HRC2 and Rotterdam, winning 5-0, 4-2 and 6-0.  The play by the forwards was the highlight, with dominant scrummaging throughout and one of the forwards, David, took home the…

Bruising Junior encounter with Hookers

By neilwallace | Dec 12, 2016

Saturday 10th December could not have been more different to the previous week as BSN Juniors faced Hookers at WRC (Te Werve). The weather was cold with continuous light rain, but following the dominant victory of the week before the mood was optimistic and the plan was for a repeat performance. No plan survives first…

Friendlies in the Mist

By ianjewitt | Dec 11, 2016

With the cloud starting at ground level, the Minis travelled to Sasenheim for matches against the home team, RC Bassets, and RC DIOK Leiden. Although we had promised to bring two sides, a shortage in numbers meant that we had one side to play as BSN A and BSN B. This resulted in the Minis…

Juniors dominate HRC2

By neilwallace | Dec 5, 2016

Match reporter: Neil Wallace Saturday 3rd December saw BSN Juniors face HRC2 at their adopted home ground of WRC (Te Werve) and, as with every encounter with HRC, there was a special hint of rivalry in the air. It was another perfect rugby day, sunny, dry and the ground was soft.   BSN warm-up in…

Slippery Oyster’s

By darancharlton | Nov 26, 2016

Match report by Neil Wallace; Saturday 26th November saw the BSN Juniors playing away to Oysters RFC, Oisterwijk. The weather was sunny and dry and a good match seemed on the cards. Sixteen BSN players were available for the game, limiting the Coach’s options and forcing some to adopt unfamiliar positions. The local team benefitted…
